How Swete It Is
Jun 14th, 2006 by Elise
So yesterday, on Tuesday the thirteenth, the crew took a small (knock on wood) group on the Cutthroat for a sail. The 14 of us enjoyed a magnificant day of sailing, wind, and weather. It was also a great time to enjoy the marine serenity with a group of familiar and unfamiliar friends. Bob Swete (a former co-worker of Elise), his wife Elaine, grandaughter Kayla, and their daughter Lauren came for a visit aboard the Cutthroat. Lauren was recently married to her husband Matt, who joined the sail with the rest of his family. The harbor was mostly clear of any other boats, making our sail more lax and enjoyable. We had to cut our trip a little short because their dog, Dickie, was not being watched while staying in their hotel room!
All of the sails were up and the engine was off for the majority of the voyage. Lauren’s husband, Matt, recently joined the Army and is being deployed to Iraq in the upcoming month. We all wished him well as he will serve our country and celebrated Lauren’s graduation from college aboard the boat. With a nice visit with the Swete family, we all agree that we all had a fun time.
