Yesterday was a “big” day. At 0021Z (Approximately 6pm California time) after 151 hours of sailing, we logged 1,000 NM since leaving PV. Our position was N18.14.916; W122.13.660. Our average speed over this distance was approximately 6.62 Knots per hour, which wasn’t too bad considering that we spent most of the time [...]

Wow, we have covered our first 1000 miles and we are off shore and that is really something. I am not sure what exactly. We have mutinied and made the captain hit the bed and rest for a change after the 1000 mile wine cheese and summer sausage fest.
